With nowhere to go, I lost my apartment when my husband entered a rigorous rehabilitation program for addiction.  Pregnant, homeless, and with no idea how to care for a baby, I moved into Harvest Home. I prayed for a good home and look where He directed me!  I attended birthing classes and parenting classes diligently and with interest.  Soon enough, my darling baby girl arrived, at 7 pounds, 15 ounces!  A beautiful, happy baby who loves to talk and laugh, McKayla enjoys blowing raspberries and cuddling with me.  With hard work and the tutor that Harvest Home provided for me, I will obtain my G.E.D.  I a woman of deep faith, hope to attend college for child development.  Now clean and sober, my husband is working again, driving trucks which he loves to do.  Since my transition to Upward Bound, he has really stepped up and is now, making efforts to be a good father and husband.  Our goal for the future is to reunite as a family and take the necessary steps toward making a healthy home together.  I am grateful and have a compassionate heart and one day hope to work with women and children in need.  Many times no one hears the cry of those in need and is willing to help, encourage and believe in them but Harvest Home does!    The biggest thing is that God will help anyone if they turn to Him and ask.  I did and He helped me through.  I am very thankful for Harvest Home and all they did for me and are still doing for others like me.  McKayla and I will always come back to see the women and pray for God to bless them.
